Vapo-Cresolene

The Vapo-Cresolene inhaler, used from 1879 and advertised from the 1890’s through into the 1920’s. Sold by the Vapo-Cresolene company and for some time distributed by Allen & Hanbury. Indicated as a specific for whooping cough and suitable for asthma, coughs, croup and colds. The Vapo-Cresolene spirit burner eventually was replaced by the electric vaporizer (pictured).
