These attractive, marbled and faintly mottled, inhalers are manufactured by Lynch & Co (London) and attributed to Dr Nelson’s principle. The directions differ from similar ceramic inhalers, instructing saturating the sponge in the hollow of the glass mouthpiece with medicament, three quarter filling the vessel with steaming water and inhaling and exhaling through the mouthpiece. This inhaler is described in medical texts describing sick room appliances.
