Germicide Inhaler

The Germicide inhaler was indicated for a number of diseases including; catarrh, asthma, hay fever, as well as diseases of the head, throat, lungs and stomach. It claimed that its “germicide action cleans the channels of the respiratory from diseases and offensive matter thereby assisting nature in improving the senses of hearing, taste, smell and eyesight…” Furthermore “The Germicide inhaler makes pure clean lungs and pure clean lungs make pure clean blood.” This useful inhaler originiates from Winchester, Indiana and sold for $3.50. It dates from the early twentieth century - a reference to the Germicide inhaler exists from 1904.
