“Directions: In all pulmonary complaints , soreness of the chest & lungs, sore throat, rheumatism, croup in children, spinal diseases, epilepsy or fits, Sic the Ointment must be perseveringly & well rubbed in with the bare hand to the parts affected. For sores or long standing ulcers and tumours the Ointment should be spread upon a piece of linen or cotton of sufficient size to cover both the wound & surrounding inflammation & renewed daily”
