This attractive faintly mottled inhaler is manufactured by Lynch & Co (London) and attributed to Dr Nelson’s principle.
The directions differ from similar ceramic inhalers, instructing saturating the sponge in the hollow of the glass mouthpiece with medicament, three quarter filling the vessel with steaming water and inhaling and exhaling through the mouthpiece.
This inhaler is described in medical texts describing sick room appliances. The second image is a normal shaped ceramic inhaler, the top one is more dumpy.
