Dr Guild’s Green Mountain asthmatic compound, containing stramonium and belladonna, together with potassium nitrate, anise and anethol. Cigarettes and pipe mixture were also sold. The compound was put onto a plate and lit, the asthmatic patient was meant to inhale the fumes to gain relief.
