The Coffee inhaler was the creation of a Dr W.O.Coffee. Shown here is the No. 40 inhaler, a glass tube with small cork bung in each end. The cotton wool inside is impregnated with volatile medicaments. The patient is instructed to remove both corks and inhaler through the tube. Probably late 1800’s.
