This Trojan electric inhaler was manufactured and supplied in the UK in the early 1930’s. The outfit comprised a heating chamber with detachable blue glass mouthpiece and a supply of inhalant, both presented together in a neat wooden box.
It claimed to be a certain cure and preventative for catarrh, asthma and a host of other conditions. The inhalant contained turpentine, menthol, camphor and ems salts.
In use the chamber was half filled with water to which was added a teaspoon of inhalant and when turned on a vapour would be produced in 4-5 minutes.
