The Adams inhaler was a variant on the Siegle inhaler. It used steam to draw the medication into a vapour cloud. This device and illustration date from around 1900. The inscription says, “By Royal Letters Patent the Adams inhaler”. The illustration comes from the page entitled “Appliances for the sick room”. Another version is added below.
