This advert from The Illustrated London News 1893 for Beecham’s cough pills is advertised alongside the parent brand.  Indicated for coughs, asthma and bronchial affections, they claimed sales of six million boxes per annum. Analysis by the BMA in 1909 showed the pills to contain; aloes, powdered ginger and powdered soap.
