Shown here is a Penicillin Inhalation Set from Armour Laboratories.  It is dated 1952. The set includes 3 capsules of 100,000 units of crystalline Penicillin G and an insufflator. The instructions describe the product as able to be used both nasally and orally.
The Abbott Aerohalor was a dry powder inhaler also for delivery of penicillin, from the same era.
