A collection of inhalers and asthma therapies

Asthma 1814

This page from the Medical & Physical Journal 1814 lists the incidence of diseases in London between May 20th and June 19th 1814, according to the reports of several apothecaries in the metropolis. Sixty five cases of asthma were reported, down from 76 the previous month.  This was one less than the cases of pneumonia, and a little more than the cases of cholera. This edition also discusses the treatment of croup, identifying the inhalation of vapour, medicated with æther, opium, or cicuta and, pediluvia, together with a little mustard as useful.
