This menthol inhaler dates from 1890, made by Abbott’s Menthol Plaster Co in Worcester Mass. This carefully crafted inhaler has a tiny lever in the mouth that opens the eyes (air inlet channels). Although called ‘electric’ there is no electric power. It was sold as a cure for headache and neuralgia. The trade card illustrates the product nicely.
