Kirkwood’s Inhaler 1874

These advertisement from 1874 and 1888 shows Kirkwood’s inhaler, an apparatus for delivering fuming ammonium chloride. It was used as an antiseptic agent, and was recommended at times of contagion and epidemic. Inhalation of ammonium chloride was also provided by Godfrey’s inhaler and Vaporole.
